My journey through life with a brain tumor called an acoustic neuroma or vestibular schwannoma. I named him Herbert, though he is an uninvited guest, he is mine for keeps so I learn to deal with that everyday. From emotional to medical aspects of this journey, I am fighting my way through the diagnoses of a lifetime. I hope this blog can be of use to all those confronting life changing health challenges. With love xo

  2. Wow, what an amazing blog! Thank you for your bravery to share your story through the ups and downs. If you’re in the San Diego area on Saturday, October 17th we’d love for you to join us at the Grand Hyatt San Diego for 2015 Over the Edge for Brain Cancer. More than 75 ‘edgers’ will be making the 365ft rappel down the tallest building on the waterfront to raise funds and awareness for brain cancer research. It’s really an amazing day and we’d love for you to be part of it! I’ll even be rappelling this year in memory of my mom who would have turned 60 this fall.

    • Thank you so much for your kindness! It means a lot! I am in Denver but maybe I can plan a trip out for that event! It sounds so great! Is there a website for the event?

Also – sorry to hear about your Mom, it’s so great that you are able to celebrate her memory by helping a great community of people who needs support!

  3. I have just started reading your blog. I love the grace and honestness in which you present your life. Continue to fight like a girl.

  4. Hi Samira:
I stumbled on your block right now awaiting a petscan at NYHospital in Manhattan. What a gift from God.
We are not alone and what we wrote is how I feel. I hope your feeling better and we are all on this journey together. Thinking of you.. Feel better. It sucks but we are here…after this procedure it’s pie for sure! Hugs to you and we must forge forward for the Dr… Who taught us we must. Robin

    • Robin! Thank you for sharing that with me! I am sending you light, love and strength. May your journey be filled with hope. Forge on and I’ll be with you in spirit!
